Jolly Rotten Punk Puppet Busking in Poole Town Centre, Dorset

So there I was just moseying my way through Poole town centre on my lunch break when I bumped into busker Jolly Rotten the punk puppet!

This busker draws a crowd with his funny antics and gets a lot of laughs from the passing public.

It was fun to see the reactions from the adults and watching the kids enjoying getting up close and then running away screeching when the puppet moved towards them.

Friends have told me that he has also been spotted at Boomtown Fair as well as well as other locations around the UK.

His performance involves playing his flute, making gestures to passers-by and running after scared kids.

If you hadn’t guest already the person is sat inside the backpack.

He is such an interesting and creepy street performer and I wish we had more creativity like this on our streets.

Below are a few YouTube clips of busker / street entertainer Jolly Rotten Punk Puppet in the wild.

Jay (fanakapan) Makes Zeta Look Good

It’s been a long time in the making but finally we have found the time to put together a short video of the excellent street artist fanakapan working his magic on the walls of the Zeta office. Not only did we take photos of him every step of the way, we also filmed him from start to finish, capturing every sweep of the spray-can, contemplative stand and bizarre little dance.

All of us here at the Zeta family are over the moon with the work fanakapan has done; he has made our office stand out from all the rest by putting our ethos in a 10ft high mural for everybody to see. The mural shows every client that walks through our doors we are first and foremost a creative agency with a different way of thinking.

The video is only a slice of the massive amount of hard work Jay put in to making our office look good, as this is just one of three murals he created for us over the course of a coffee-fuelled weekend. He worked tirelessly to incorporate our brand colours, keywords and messages in a one-off piece of street art unique to Zeta. Take a look at him in full swing below or check out the photos here.

Digital agency Zeta comes off the wall with street artist Jay Gawronski

Digital agency Zeta has recently transformed its office with three striking graffiti murals. The all important working environment now makes a bold statement. It reflects the company’s identity and attitude and critically the Zeta crew is very happy with the street art.

Managing Director Roger Allen says, “In any business the workplace has to be fit for purpose and that doesn’t just mean practical. People have got to feel at home, comfortable and proud of the company they work for. The graffiti art on our walls is great and I just love the process we went through to do it.”

When Zeta moved no one could begin to agree on art for the offices. Sometimes an outside view can give a better perspective of the strengths and USPs of an organisation. Zeta does it for others so why not have someone do it for us?

Then there was that great weekend in Shoreditch and down Brick Lane. A party in an old warehouse and sight of the most amazing street art spread across one whole wall in the warehouse. That’s where we met Jay Gawronski. The next morning Henry Waterfall announced that Jay was coming to Poole. He would be looking at Zeta… who we are… what we do and then he would create his own street art on our walls.

Flowers and plants are important to Zeta, we’ve had the same plants from day one. They are part of our identity. Interconnection is another theme in the world of digital, web, email and mobile. That was it really so Henry started moving the furniture and three days later they were done. This part of the process has been documented with pictures and comments on Flickr:

The Result

The finished designs incorporate Zeta’s logo, colour palette and the words analyse and create – lead words in Zeta’s business strategy. Everyone agrees the office walls finally reflect the characteristics of Zeta and have made it an even better place to work.
